Is your road speed governor
set too low to pass slower vehicles safely on two-lane highway?
Does it seem to take forever to pass slower
trucks on the freeway?
Do you frequently find yourself driving
along-side another 40 ton big rig for 5 or 10 minutes when trying to pass?
The Safest Highways
always
travel at the same speed. That's just common sense right? Traffic safety engineers
have proven this fact and I'm sure Albert Einstein would also
agree!

Professional Drivers Say...
"Thanks for a great product that
works and is well made. It saves me between one and two hours per
day by just staying close to the
speed limit. When a company turns down a truck so low that
you dread going to work, its time to find a new line of work or do
something about it. I have more than twenty five years driving
experience..." - USA

Precautions: The
SafetyPass Pro
is designed as a means to increase vehicle speed beyond computer speed
governor limitations to enable safer passing of slower vehicles for
better vehicle maneuverability and secure driver control. Any
other use of this device is not recommended. User assumes all risk and
liability for use of this product.
The
SafetyPass Pro is a very
simple "passive system".
What is a passive system? It
means the SafetyPass Pro never logs into the vehicle computer. It
does not create log files. It does not change computer programming
or settings. It merely intercepts a signal from the vehicle speed
sensor (VSS), modifies this signal according to driver specifications and
then sends it on to the engine control module (ECM) where it is
processed as a genuine VSS signal.
Operation
Once connected (see
installation below), the
SafetyPass
Pro
must be "pre-set" using the
calibration control knob located on the device and the
vehicle speedometer. This is a very simple procedure that takes
less than a minute.
This 2001 Freightliner
with a Detroit, Series 60 engine, produces a maximum
governed rpm of 2280 when the device is set to 44 mph.*
After the device has been pre-set,
just switch on the control unit to disable road speed
governor Instantly. Gain speed by simply pressing down on the
throttle pedal.
During control unit
operation the vehicle speedometer* will no longer reflect actual
road speed. To accurately measure road speed during device
operation the tachometer can be used when the vehicle is in the
highest gear.
How to use tach as
speedometer: Switch control unit OFF while driving, shift into
high gear, note RPM relative to speedometer reading. i.e. RPM @ 1500 =
65 MPH, RPM @ 1600 = 69 MPH, RPM @ 1950 = 76 MPH. Using this method will
provide a very accurate way to measure your actual road speed.
*Trucks with two sensors or two leads will need the
Weather-Pack Y Adapter
to gain visual feed-back from the speedometer
during device operation
See Catalog.
The
SafetyPass
Pro
is a high quality, sophisticated tool designed by
Experienced, Professional
Truck Drivers.
HOW IT WORKS
The
SafetyPass
Pro allows the vehicle engine to
operate at maximum governed engine RPM in Top Gear. It simply de-activates the
road
speed governor by providing a new signal (controlled by the calibration
knob) to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
The engine is then permitted
to supply maximum RPM as measured by the RPM governor and limited only by
programming parameters (settings) in the ECM.
The maximum governed engine rpm limit is programmed into
the ECM and can not be changed by this device. Top speed is limited to
Maximum governed rpm in the highest gear (or any gear) of most manual
transmissions.
Turn the unit ON = Device speed signal
to ECM.
Turn the unit OFF = Vehicle speed
signal to ECM (Normal Operation).
When the device is turned on the computer
will continue to add full power until maximum governed RPM is reached
regardless of actual road speed.
Our customer's know what it's like on the road...
"thank you very much
i really appreciate that you have no idea how happy iam that i
found this site. ill be sending alot of people your way theres
alot of people in aus screaming for this. - Australia..."

Installing is easy!
The SafetyPass Pro simply plugs into existing
speed sensor connectors. It's a simple matter to make connections
with the installation kit (included with every unit) that fits most
(90%) class 8 trucks that are in operation today, May16, 2008.
The installation cables
can be permanently installed in under 30 minutes. Temporary installation
(or removal) takes about 5 minutes.
All connections to the vehicle are
made in one specific location.
At the rear of the
transmission, on the output shaft, just in front of the driveshaft U-joint,
at or near the vehicle road speed sensor location.
Connection locations: 2004 Kenworth conventional
with C-15 Caterpillar Engine and 18-speed Rockwell Transmission
Locate the speed sensor(s) then follow computer
leads to locate the in-line connectors. Use the
Main Cable to plug into Weather-Pack Connectors or Metri-pack adapter
cables along with Main Cable to plug into ECM and Speed sensor leads.
Simply separate, disconnect, or un-plug existing vehicle connectors
and plug-in the installation cables supplied with your
SafetyPass Pro
(no splicing required).
Here is an example of a
2006 Volvo Conventional with Cummins ISX engine and 10-speed Fuller
Transmission using the Metri-pack adapter cable included with every
SafetyPass Pro.
Use the Metri-Pack adapter Cables along with the Main Cable to plug
directly into the top of Metri-Pack Speed Sensor and ECM leads.
Once connectors are located - Just
separate the existing connectors and plug-in using the installation kit.
Quality Cables built
